Mongolian eagle hunters are Kazakhs who migrated to Bayan-Ölgii, which is located in the Altai Mountains of western Mongolia and brought with them their tradition of hunting with eagles.
Their falconry custom involves hunting with golden eagles on horseback, and they use the eagles to hunt foxes and hares during the cold winter months when it is easier to see the prey. The eagle hunters are revered in their communities.
8-year old Dinka aspires to be a eagle hunter and has developed a strong bond with his golden eagle.

The pandemic prompted a rethink of life and fired a desire to travel, see and understand the world. Travelling the world to open my eyes and mind, I strive to use my humble skill to capture the human condition through the lens.
