"Migrants of the Seven Seas" is meant to be a whimsical yet poignant imagery of the journey of migration both for people and animals through the lens of fantasy. Set adrift at sea, a crew of penguins from the Chilean habitat of Isla Magdalena embark on a voyage aboard a vessel filled with their belongings for the long journey. The lighthouse is a symbol of hope. Echoes of the Chilean flag’s red, white, and blue is depicted through the composition reflecting the cultural roots of the animals while underscoring the impact of climate change on wildlife forcing them to search for a new habitat.

Each object is photographed individually and composited into a finished piece. Animals are recurring elements which give life to the story in the images, often in a playful way. As such, own photography and digital painting are brought together to generate atmospheric scenes that engages and encourages the viewer to his or her own interpretation.
