A golden Buddha rests atop a crumbling temple, surrounded by cracked tiles and creeping vegetation. Captured from above, this forgotten sanctuary in rural Taiwan contrasts sacred permanence with temporal decay. The deity watches in silence, unmoved, while the world around it falls away. It is both presence and absence—faith lingering in form, but hollow in spirit.
