Echo in Marble

A steppe zebra leaps down the spiral staircase of Villa Farnese, framed by a marble painting from Reggia di Caserta and a classical sculpture from Vienna. Delicate butterflies, some hidden in plain sight, drift through the scene, symbols of lightness within grandeur. Crafted over years from 500 photographic layers and hand-painted details using a Wacom Cintiq Pro, this work from my Treasures series reflects on how we elevate human beauty, yet forget we are part of nature’s own fragile masterpiece.
