What does sound look like?
I see these photographs as vessels of sound, carrying the cultural pulse of the Sanja Matsuri.
I tried not only to capture what was visible, but to freeze the vibrations in the air—the breath of the crowd, the echoes that linger in memory.
I hope that, in looking at these images, viewers can almost hear the chants and the beating drums, feel the weight on the shoulders and the tremble of the ground.
These are not silent photographs. They are fragments alive with sound and emotion—moments where light and rhythm converge into presence.
