Wandering the streets of Paris with my camera, in the spirit of Cartier-Bresson and Helen Levitt, I sought to rethink what is often called “street photography.” Admittedly, one can no longer photograph the street as in Cartier-Bresson's time—urban life has changed dramatically, and capturing it today is far more challenging for many reasons. These images suggest that a reinvention of street photography is still possible. They were taken between 2022 and 2025, always guided by a search for spontaneous moments. They are more agile and less staged, and more about improvisation than composition.
