This is Eugênio, an Andean farmer who lives in the mountains of Peru. In the image,he holds a purple potato, planted and harvested by his own hands, shaped like a heart.This natural symbol, born of soil and care, reflects the devotion with which he relates to the act of cultivation. In the Andes, the potato is more than food, it’s heritage. He plants over 50 varieties without the use of machinery or chemicals, in a deeply harmonious relationship with nature. Eugênio’s hands, marked by time and labor, are witnesses to generations who have lived off the land with respect and dignity.
