In the glacial riverbeds of Zermatt, water tells a story older than language — of ice becoming motion, and motion becoming memory. This series explores the raw turbulence of the Matter Vispa, a river born of melting glaciers, as both a force of nature and a marker of change. I’m drawn to these transitional landscapes — places shaped by time, climate, and elemental rhythm — and to the ephemeral energy they carry as they shift from permanence to impermanence.

Nicholas Duers currently operates out of his photography studio located in Midtown, NYC. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, he specializes in still-life photography of luxury goods, fashion accessories, and beauty products.
