It was a cloudy day, unlike other days. The sky felt heavy, echoing something within me. As I looked up at the bare wild pecan tree hovering just above the clouds, it mirrored the way my mind was functioning—disjointed, suspended, surreal. I needed to materialize that moment, to give form to the intangible. So I brought out my headless mannequin, a silent figure embodying the in-between, and began to shoot.
The result was exactly as I had imagined—an image that lives between reality and dream, grounded in nature but drifting into something more.
