The ice cliffs along the lake stand like towering sculptures, carved by the relentless dance of wind, water, and waves. Each one is unique, shaped by nature's slow, patient hands, their surfaces rippled and jagged where the wind has worn away the edges. Walking on these cliffs is exciting yet dangerous as cleats are necessary, as is treading carefully in the usual bitter cold of the season. The cliffs stand as frozen sentinels, quiet yet ever-changing, a stunning convergence of nature’s forces frozen in a moment of pure, crystalline beauty.
In my teenage years, the camera, was a way to document the beauty I found in nature. As my photography progressed doing commercial work and taking workshops, my subject matter changed to include a greater documentation of Canadian urban and rural life. These newer photographs were made in a non-perfect, ambiguous, and documentary style.
I pride myself in being a person and photographer who is respectful, polite and humble, although persistent, in finding and sharing interesting photographs. It is of great importance to be a harsh editor, taking my time on a series and only revealing the very
