"L'Ego Meurtri. Hommage à Gilbert Garcin" is a double photography artist book that pays tribute to the wonderful work of French photographer Gilbert Garcin. Through a nuanced interplay of light and shadow, its black and white images convey a profound message about the tenderness and fragility of human nature, the role of perception, and the limitless potential of imagination. It is also an invitation to contemplate, meditate, and play with the questions and answers that inspire us to explore our own duality and find the light in the darkest moments of life.

Mexico City-based visual artist Ileana Montaño is an award-winning photographer who started her career as a professional in graphic communications and advertising.Her work has been exhibited globally, including her 2017 solo show "Fragmentos de Luz" in Mexico City. In May 2023, she published her first book, "L'ego meurtri. Hommage à Gilbert Garcin.". Ileana has gained international recognition, winning awards from different organizations. She has also been published in Better Photography magazine and featured and collaborated in renowned blogs about mobile art and photography.
