We Americans eat junk. We put corn syrup and sugar in almost everything. It is SUPER addicting. I've never done drugs, smoked anything, or even drink coffee, but my name is Mike, and I am addicted to sugar. It is a real struggle to say no to desserts, but even if I did that, we still have sugar in EVERYTHING.
I created his series using everyday consumables and easily obtainable items and showed myself consuming them as if they were an illegal substance. Originally I was going to do them all as grainy B&W, but in the end elected for selective color of the sugars and a more cinematic display.

I graduated from Bucknell University with a major in English and a minor in Chemistry. I worked at Barnes & Noble for four years and currently pay the bills as a nuclear medicine technologist. The rest of my time is devoted to my various cats. My ultimate dream would be to go to Mars, but in the meantime I do this photography thing.
