Bombing Dragon is a significant Hakka tradition during the Lantern Festival in Miaoli, Taiwan. The highlight of the event is bombarding dragon dance teams with firecrackers, symbolizing the expulsion of evil and the welcoming of good fortune. Amidst the deafening explosions and thick smoke, performers bravely maneuver the dragon, embodying the resilience of Hakka culture. It is believed that the more intense the bombing, the greater the fortune for the coming year.
