Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, situated in Southeast Alaska to the west of Juneau, is a breathtaking gem in the United States. I had the opportunity to explore this awe-inspiring destination on a cruise departing from Seattle. The journey was largely shrouded in overcast skies and advection fog, a phenomenon where warm, moist air drifts over a cold surface, such as an iceberg or snow-covered terrain. The photographs in this series capture the unique weather conditions that unfolded during the trip, showcasing the park's glaciers and the stunning sights along the route to the park.
Based in the United States in Washington State, Stephen is an “opportunistic” photographer, capturing life as it unfolds in his travels. His spontaneous approach results in candid snapshots of the outdoors, people, and diverse cultures, enriching his global perspective.
