For over a century, the Wootten family has crafted and restored wooden boats on the banks of the Thames in Marlow, using tools and techniques passed down through five generations. From Dunkirk rescue vessels to Admiralty commissions, their legacy is built on unmatched craftsmanship and an unbreakable bond with the river. Despite challenges like flooding, the youngest boatwright, Lee Wootten, carries their tradition forward, blending innovation with heritage. This project captures their story—a celebration of resilience, family pride, and the timeless connection between craft and nature.
