The idea aroud Man in the mirror’s project consists of three black and white photographs where the colors emerge only in the traffic light men, whose images are distorted, stretched. It exemplifies the daily struggle of a society in which appearance is the only thing that counts, the only way to gain consideration and acceptance.
Man In The Mirror is part of the artistic project that Matteo Cervone has been developing since 2022, turning the traffic lights of his photographs into imaginary tales in which the stickmen become transpositions of human feeling and emotions.

Matteo Cervone (Milan, 1966) graduated in Political Science + specialised in Transactional Analysis, worked 25 years in multinational companies as a behavioural trainer and organisation development.
He began his artistic life in 1999, improving the basics: lighting techniques, chromatology, project design, materials technology, digital tools, visual communication. He opened his studio in 2011.
In 2018, striked out on his own and has been working on Visual Art ever since. His focus is on the expression of relationships with others and with oneself, expressed through inanimate media.
