This project is based on the idea that a culture is no better than its woods and the role of the UK’s landscape in the climate crises. UK forest cover is 13%, compared to a worldwide average of 31%. Trees can not only capture and store carbon, but help reduce pollution, temperature, prevent flooding, enrich soil, and increase biodiversity. This series documents locations photographed once a month for a year. The twelve frames have been overlaid to create one final work per location capturing seasonal changes, changes in the weather, the light, and the locations themselves.
