Marie Antoinette

I have always been fascinated by Marie Antoinette and 18th century French culture. A lot of the intellectual and political intrigues that were playing out then are still playing out today. Marie Antoinette was of course stuck in the middle of this. Her naivety and privilege made her an easy scapegoat. On top of that, the grandiose fashion of the aristocracy is an equally fascinating look at the way power manifests itself in what we wear and the art that we create.
