80 Faces of Liberation

A series of portraits (and accompanying narratives) of survivors of WWII who witnessed Nazi occupation and liberation by Allied Forces. This is part of a series of 80 images to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands on May 5th, 2025. They will be displayed at 4 museums, varsious art galleries and civic structures, including bridges all along the 'Liberation Route' that Allied forces took in freeing the Netherlands. A companion exhibition showing these images, mirrored by portraits and accounts of Canadian soldiers who liberated Holland will be installed in Canada
