The former "Haus der Statistik" in Berlin Germany was used by the Stasi for collecting information about the people of the GDR. After the wall came down it functioned as an archive for people to check out the data the secret police collected about them during the socialist regime. When this usage became redundant, it was squaded by artists who installed their studios in the building. The "STOP WARS" graffiti became a symbol for the movement against Putin's war against the Ukraine.
The building is undergoing major changes and renovations now. The graffiti has been removed.
