How will this story end? A Chimera and a dryad. Inspired by Greek Mythology and old masters paintings.
All elements are photographed in the course of serveral years and later blended together with the use of a Wacom cintiq Pro tablet with brush and the use of traditional painting techniques.
The cave and landscape in the background (Etna Volcano) were photographed in Sicily.
Self-portait, white lion, and a goat were photographed in the Netherlands. The snake was photographed in Barcelona.
Cheraine Collette, 1993, the Netherlands, is recognized for her ethereal photographic paintings that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination. She’s included in the permanent Museum collection of the Museo d'Arte di Chianciano Terme and exhibited at prestigious venues such as Art Basel CONTEXT Miami and Scope Miami, Contemporary Istanbul, Art Karlsruhe, and the 8th Biennale of Chianciano. She received over 300 prestigious international awards and honors since her first participation in 2019, immediately winning 1st place at the IPA, and including two Golden Pangea Trophies, and ‘Fine Art Photographer Of The Year’ from world-renowned institutions for her photographic paintings and books.
