Silent Seas

In ‘Silent Seas’ my inspiration is Sumi-e (Japanese Ink Painting). Both in the visual language of the medium, and the meditative nature of both the process and output. This formed a new paradigm for my sense of tonality, and a framework for my choice of subject and composition.

I hope these images will resonate with viewers in that meditative sense, and be able to enjoy a momentary escape from the pressures and pace of modern life as they consider the gentle abstraction of the image.
