The Old Head

For over 35 years, Irish Artist, David Magee has been creating pictures, Outside, in the landscape. Working primarily before dawn and in the darker hours. His works are not by definition­­­­ landscapes, more his creative observations and interpretations of the Natural World, it’s spiritual & physical energy. These pictures are from a series of works previously unpublished. Pictures that represent an intimate journey. Created over the duration of two years, involving countless visits, observations and explorations of the Natural Elements at play at - The Old Head of Kinsale, West Cork, Ireland.

David Magee (b.1963) is an Irish Artist. He has been making photographs outside, Working primarily before dawn and in the darker hours. With an alluringly distinctive style offering the viewer a point in time to reflect and be drawn into a world of quietude, contemplation and tranquility­.

Working predominantly in series, Magee’s work explores thresholds - between land and sea, light and shadow, presence and absence - inviting quiet, contemplative
engagement.
