This stream in the San Leonardo forest, in my region, is a place that I know very well and I go there very often. These two small waterfalls with this islet with trees in the middle are the point that I consider most beautiful. I studied various compositions, I was there in all seasons at all hours of the day to understand the direction of the light. In the end I believe that the one I present is the best one. Also considering the right amount of water because with the drought these days, unfortunately, most of the time it is dry.
Thomas de Franzoni is a fine art photographer who uses minimalism as a language of emotion.
His photographs are not meant to describe — they are meant to feel. Each image is a quiet pause, a breath held in time. Whether capturing a lone tree, an abstract corner of architecture, or the soft undulation of a hillside, Thomas reveals what often goes unnoticed: the stillness beneath the surface, the presence within absence.
Through carefully composed lines, open spaces, and delicate contrasts, his work invites the viewer inward.
