After few years of a global pandemic, and with Hokkaido having been one of the hardest-hit regions in Japan, a significant celebration for the residents of Hokkaido has finally returned this year.

Through a series of parades and prayers, they seek blessings from the deities for favorable weather and peace and prosperity for their nation and people.
