I use geologic specimens as the medium for my works. These are not documentation images but events, millions of years old, as seen and captured though an artist’s eyes. My intent is the blend and challenge perceptions of time, perspective and possibility. I do this through the exploration infinite combinations of shape, color, texture, and motion. This is the essence of my current and ongoing project: Things You Will Never See – Places You Will Never Go.
In this fast changing world I have to say I do not use AI or non-native objects in my images.
Nick creates art from scenes inside gems and minerals. using a unique photographic and workflow process. Each work is carefully crafted with a goal of presenting the viewer with a beautiful and complex vision. Part of that vision is recognizing the connectedness and timelessness of everything in our universe. The smallest is an echo of the infinitely large - or is it the reverse?
