The women from the Mursi Tribe in Ethiopia are renowned for their lip piercing and the large lip plates worn therein. This is linked to the female fertility and eligibility for marriage. Painting their bodies with white chalk is common and decorative, as is the wearing of elaborate headdresses, such as warthog tusks and decorated leather pieces.

I am an elderly retired nurse, who now has a passion for photography. I love sharing my experiences plus learning from others. A never ending quest for improvement in telling my stories.
