Among the existing traditional residential buildings, Zhaixing Villa can be assessed as the most gorgeous and well-preserved old residential house in Taiwan. Since the villa belongs to a rich family as well as the home of a great general, it attaches great importance to the scale and decoration of the building: lifelike Jiaozhi pottery, elegant stone carvings, and a variety of brick carvings, decorated in every corner of the courtyard, are the highlights of the residence. Zhaixing Villa, in many respects, manifests the magnificent style of the residence of the rich in the Qing Dynasty.
