On the second Monday of every new year, the Coming of Age Day (seijin no hi) holiday is celebrated throughout Japan. Kimono-clad women, and some men, celebrate turning 20 years of age at places such as the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. Many women wear furisode, a kimono with long dangling sleeves, traditional Japanese thronged sandals, and stylish hair . . .
Frank Lynch is from Dublin, Ireland and is currently living in Brig, Switzerland. He works in graphic design and takes photographs as a counter-balance to the stresses of the graphics business.
