The Shamans on the Hill of the Skull

Every August, devotees of the Virgin of Urkupiña take a pilgrimage to the Hill of the Skull in Quillacollo, Bolivia, where they perform ceremonies and rituals guided by shamans, healers, yatiris, "amautas," oracle-priests, "sahumadores," and other holy men and women. These are portraits of some of these spiritual guides working on the hill.
