Honorable Mention / 2023 / Nature / Flowers
Red Beauty
This beautiful flower, which I believe is a dahlia, was a birthday gift out of the garden of one of my neighbors and closest friend. It was one of several that she gave me, but it stood out the most because of the beautiful richness of the color. After capturing the image, I extracted the flower and placed it on a black background to bring more attention to the folds of the petals.
