Strada Coperta

  • Photographer
    Olivier Galian, France

Strada Coperta is a covered medieval road in Vigevano, Italy.
This roofed road is the only example of such a structure existing in the whole of European castle architecture and represents one of the most formidable works of medieval military engineering.
It was built in 1347 by Luchino Visconti to allow the dukes of Milan to enter and exit the Castle without being seen by the inhabitants of the hamlet and to flee in case of looming danger.

Olivier Galian is a self-taught photographer based near to Nantes, France.

Born in 1978, he was always taken pictures of his environment with an aesthetic approach but without any real conviction and goal.
It is only since 2018, with the encouragements of his family and friends, that he decided to explore the world around him in another way, by opening a window onto others worlds and starting to do Art Photography.

His photographs express and reflect his perception and sensibility of the world and his instant emotions.
