A refugee from the middle east begging on the streets of Paris
Shukri Zali is a Malaysian documentary photographer and graphic designer whose work extends between Southeast Asia and France. Since 2004, his long-term project La Marche de l’humanité has followed ordinary lives, cultural memory, faith, labour and human continuity across borders. His black-and-white work sits between authorial documentary, humanist photojournalism and visual essay, with previous recognition from PX3 Paris, IPA and other international photography awards.
