From the on-going series 'Journey within', a desperate surge to self-discovering trying to go beyond the surface of how I look, but uncovering hidden truths by exploring the connection between the 'Who am I' and 'What am I' .
Street and documentary photographer based in Paphos Cyprus. Although largely self-taught, I attended a few courses run by some world-renowned photographers:(Eric Kim, Jason Eskenazi, Loukas Vasilikos, Platon Rivellis, Ilias Georgiades, Michail Moscholios). My pictures are mostly from streets around the world capturing moods and behaviours in people’s daily life. It helps me to connect with people on a physical level and emotional level as well. With each picture I take I aim to invite the viewers to pause and take a glimpse into the daily life it flees unnoticed.
Awards My work has been presented in several groups and exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece and Italy as well as in some publications and books. In 2020, I was awarded a ‘Bronze Winner’ by the Jury of Tokyo International Foto Awards, in the Category ‘Portfolio-Personal’. In 2021, I was awarded in IPA with Honorable Mention in the Category 'People-Street Photography'. In the same year, 2021, I was awarded in Monochrome Awards with Honorable Mention in 'Amateur-Portrait' Category. In 2022, I was awarded in PX3 (Prix De La Photographie Paris) competition with 'Honorable Mention' in Amateur 'Portraiture/Self-Portrait' Category. In the same year,2022, I was awarded in (BIFA) Budapest International Foto Awards with 2nd Place Winner in the Category 'People', and Gold Metal in the Category 'People-Self-Portrait'. Also in the same BIFA/2022 competition, I was awarded with Honorable Mention in the Category 'Fine Art-Abstract'. Also, in the same year/2022, I was awarded in Monochrome Awards in 'Amateur Landscape' Category an 'Honorable Mention'.In 2023, in PX3 Competition, I was awarded with 'Honorable Mention' in the category 'Portraiture/Personality. Same year/2023, I was awarded in BIFA competition with two 'Honorable Mentions' in the categories: 'Fine Art-Collage' and 'People-Life Style'. Also in 2023, I was awarded in 'Monochrome Photography Awards' with 'Honorable Mention'in 'Amateur-Fine Art' category.
