The sun managed to break through the wispy clouds, shimmering onto the darker waters below. I used the curve of the shingle shoreline, to guide the eye up the frame towards the one solitary building in the vicinity - a coastguard cottage. I used a long exposure to emphasise the sense of calm and serenity then waited for the opportune moment for the chimney to point directly up towards the setting sun. I could not have timed this any better. Bliss.

Seascapes, landscapes and urban environments are where I find my photographic inspiration. I am drawn to water and fascinated with interpreting movement, light as well as rugged and varied environments. My photographic work is described as authentic and minimalist. I am passionate about sustainability and the natural health benefits of the great outdoors.
