I explore my love for water in relation to my hypersensitivity.
Through self-portraits, I evoke the comforting, peaceful place, away from the chaos of the outside world, a place where it is easy for me to let go, a cradle in which I can dance with life.
Nancy Hamel (Nhi) is a photographer and artist whose work is strongly influenced by her long career in dance. She likes to be guided intuitively by her sensitivity to the environment, the play of light, and its resonance with the subject.
Her work reflects a minimalist and graphic aesthetic that captures a soft and colourful world. Her photographic approach oscillates between abstract compositions, landscapes, and portraits.
