I’m focused on abstract photography

My interest is to explore with long exposure photography techniques and the set of graphic design elements through abstract photography and create my own poetic language.

Jose Penm (Caracas, 1972) reimagines photography as drawing with light. After two decades in advertising and commercial photography, he committed to fine art in 2012. His method: sketches set intention; in the DarkStudio—built for long exposures with lights, LEDs and mirrors—light moves and composes. The abstractions favor presence over description: high-contrast rhythms where time becomes line. Based in Eindhoven since 2018.
