Wild Waves of Winter

The Japan Sea in winter is very rough due to the monsoon and is famous as a subject for Japanese-style paintings. I used a slow shutter speed to express the roughness of the waves. The Japanese cormorants were not easy to spot, so I kept coming back for days until they appeared and spread their wings.
