In Taiwanese tradition, people express their gratitude to the Gods for their blessing in wealth and guardian through Taiwanese opera during the birthdays of the Gods. The raw use of sharp color mirrors the directness of the emotion and entertainment that people would experience in a typical Taiwanese opera.
Actor/actresses wear vulgar costumes to perform the opera. From the noise in front of the stage to the end of the lights out, family-style management connects the emotions of loved ones, making the backstage more like a living therter.
