Plants Have Lives Too

These are 3 day Northern Hemisphere exposures. Each plant’s diversity has its own special brew of life juices as shown filtering out on to the thick watercolour papers from France & Italy. The processes of Cyanotype & Van Dyke Brown - two of the earliest 19th century ultraviolet sensitive salts of Van Dyke Brown and Cyanotype are still relevant in today’s age of quick gratification & building towards better appreciation of the forms of life that we often take for granted. These plants are from my garden & some prints like the Dahlias include plant materials that didn’t want to leave the paper.

Analog large and medium format photography using 19th century processes of platinum/ palladium, cyanotype and van dyke brown of landscapes, and fauna.
