This series examines persistent societal constructs which reinforce gender inequalities, from the sexualization of the female form to the pressures placed upon women to achieve warped ideals of beauty.

This series has been selected by Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, Japan for acquisition into the museum's permanent collection, 2020.

Born in Taiwan. After having some experience in sports photography, photojournalism, and political documentaries, Yi-Chen LEE became official photographer of New Taipei City Government in Taiwan in 2012. He started to study the eighth art in Paris in 2018 and kept documenting social movements during his studies while he developed conceptual photography. He conveys social commentaries through his conceptual images and regards his photography as evidence of the very real-life questions surrounding such issues as stereotyping and identity.
