In Beijing I took the train to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. I met a Belgian writer and we made a story about North Korea. Two years later we wanted to go to a similar country like North Korea. We decided to go to Turkmenistan. This project is about the similarities between the two countries. In some ways you can compare the countries, but in many ways it’s impossible.

I am an enthusiastic travel photographer who likes to visit countries around the Himalayas and the Sahara. I go to places who are barely visited and like to meet disappearing cultures.
