The Watch

The Watch was captured on a misty, rainy morning in a forest location, near the crest of a large, steep hill.

Igbo (pronounced ee-bow) is a young wolf-dog hybrid, a domesticated part wolf canid. He is around 36% wolf and has behaviours that cross from both dog to wolf and back when observed, including being highly prey driven. Photographing Igbo, as part of a series of Wolfdogs this year, wasn't straightforward. The location was dark and the weather was definitely against us, but everything came together when he scanned the forest from this elevated rock to create the final peice.
