Gaze

These photographs explore the female gaze. They play with the contrast between the direct and obstructed gaze of the model. They have been inspired by the portraits of women in Flemish art.

Betsie shoots assignments for advertising and design agencies.
Her work has been exhibited in a variety of solo and group shows, including the National Portrait Gallery,London. Les Rencontres d'Arles,France and Photofestival Naarden, the Netherlands.
