Inverted

Inverted is an experimental series inspired by the fascinating modernist and futuristic architecture of the Middle East. Through the use of negative imagery, the series portrays an architectural wonderland of bold color fields, abstraction, and close-up views of facades which give us just a glimpse of the inhabitants' lives. Inverting the scene divorces the viewer from reality, placing the viewer in an alternate space free from the confines of their own positive perception. Large-format prints of these photos are intended to be displayed and viewed at a scale of up to 2.5 meters in size.

Andrew Prokos is an award-winning architectural and fine art photographer based in New York City. His framed art prints have been exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York, 21_21 Design Sight Museum Tokyo, Banco do Brasil, and in photography galleries and art collections in USA, UAE & Europe.
