Rural Romania Children on the Farm

Photos were taken in a countryside farm near the small town of Marin in rural Romania. The entire community was dressed up in traditional clothes reflecting an earlier time. I focused on three kids who appeared to be best friends. They were posing and interacting with our visiting group and their friends. Marin is one those few villages that are bringing back to life traditions, wonderful folk costumes and ancestral stories and skills that would otherwise completely disappear. I gave no direction as the kids set up group and single poses. Some photos were not posed.
