Spirit of the Universe

Scouting the perfect location and waiting for the right weather seemed to take forever. The gear was set up to the humming sound of thousands of bees, and for the next 12 hours the camera did not move.

Once the glowing lavender at sunset had been captured, a long wait for the night sky to reveal herself was the next challenge. A second exposure of 2 minutes was used to capture the light that is not visible to the human eye, capturing the brilliance of the worlds beyond. Silence, awe and peace.

Growing up in Australia, I was surrounded by an incredible landscape that captivated. When I was eight, my parents bought me a camera – and after a fateful snapshot of a spider web in the family garden – I was hooked. My travels have taken me to the most amazing locations around the world capturing landscapes that I could only once dream of shooting. I am so grateful for the beauty of this planet and I will never stop sharing it.
