Tomboy Bangkok

I think of a portrait as a moment between what came before and what's to come next. It isn’t a complete view – it’s a liminal space of then, now and next. I'm drawn to subjects that are themselves occupy a liminal space. The tomboy between man and woman, the teenager between girl and woman, the expat between here and there.

With the Tomboy Bangkok project, I enjoyed the process of interacting with people living a life true to who they are. I just want to experience authenticity in that moment and share perhaps a glimpse of what might make them tick.
