"The creative process also experiences a kind of evolution: just as we humans are an image of nature, art is an image of individual consciousness." - The poetic fine art series deals with various thought experiments and focuses on fundamental questions about the nature of consciousness. Synaesthetic experiences, whose sensory impressions merge into one picture, have had a great influence on my way of working. Each image represents a unique and surreal perception of organic environments and their taste of color or shape of sound. The photographs have been shot on film and processed digitally.
German photographer Julian Schievelkamp (born 1994) is one of the young generation of fine art photographers. A scholarship enabled him to study experimental photography in Cologne in 2015. As an artist, he visualises surreal experiences and deals intensively with psychological, philosophical and ethnological topics. His psychedelic artwork has been exhibited in London, Berlin and Cologne.
