The photos are part of my developing project dedicated to
traditional Thai dance and the misterious Khon masks.
This little dance school is extraordinary. Thanks to the guidance
and skill of the masters they manage with a lot of study and
practice to create always new and involving shows. The boys and
girls are very young but I see them working hard every week to
improve. Thx to master โสรส พันทวี to give me the opportunity to
attend the lessons and follow them almost every day in the last 6
months.
I'm a photographer and journalist now based in Asia. From my home base I can follows the -asian- region's main social and environmental issues day by day. Nowadays, my work is focused on the poorest people life, working conditions and daily struggles.
Usually I shot with my small 35mm lens. I chose this lens because it forces me to get in touch with the people I photograph. Always thinking of the words of Robert Capa: "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough".
